At the tender age of 14, Venus Williams had already become a professional athlete, taking the world of tennis by storm. Fiercely determined and wielding an impressive physical prowess, she spent the next decade rising to the top-ranked position and winning numerous championships, including the U.S. Open, Wimbledon and doubles at the Australian Open and French Open in addition to three Olympic Gold medals.
Sonya Haffey is the Principal of V Starr, beginning her career in 2000. She has led the day to day of V Starr operations since 2009. When she joined the company, Sonya used her extensive experience from previous roles, as partner at Urbanica Group and founder of her own design firm, to transition V Starr from being exclusively residential to including a strong commercial basis.
Beginning her career in 2005, Holly Nixon joined V Starr in early 2018 as Design Director. She began her career in Sydney, Australia as an Interior Designer for a multi-disciplinary global architecture company gaining experience on all aspects of the design process and focusing on concepts and developing designs for large scale retail and mega mall projects across Australia, the Philippines and China.
Sanna Tilley is a Senior Designer at V Starr, and has designed and managed multiple projects since joining the company in 2014. Sanna started her design career doing high-end residential design work, including several PGA Tour players’ personal residences. After becoming a member of the V Starr team, she has worked on commercial projects in Florida, Texas, and New York ranging from Athletic Shops, Marketplaces, to Multi-Family and Condo Buildings.
Bobbie Olson joined V Starr as a Senior Designer in 2018, after beginning her career in 2011. Raised in a small town Cody, Wyoming, she always had the dream to make it to the big city. After graduating from California State University Fresno, she moved to NYC and began her career in the D&D building working within the residential field. With her heart set on developing her career in the industry and her passion in hospitality design, she then made the move to Las Vegas. During her 4 years in Las Vegas she worked on various hospitality and entertainment projects, both locally and internationally.
Sabryna Lynn is Florida native, born and raised in Miami. She graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design, and began her career in Miami in 2014 before moving to Texas for a couple of years to expand her experience.
Acacia was raised in Southern Louisiana and graduated with a Bachelor of Interior Design from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (Geaux Ragin Cajuns!) Following graduation Acacia moved to Austin, Texas and worked in model home merchandising and high-end residential design.
Gracie is from Baton Rouge, Louisana. She was raised in the south and grew up drawing floor plans as a child and frequently day dreaming and redecorating her room. Once she was in college she took an interior design summer program in Italy and was completely convinced at that point that interior design was the profession for her.
Born and raised in South Florida, Tinisha graduated with an Associates of Science in Interior Design from Palm Beach State College in 2017. Tinisha has a passion for all things design and DIY. She is also an avid baker and makes us treats for the office in her spare time.
