The Tennis Lounge at Midtown Athletic Club’s flagship location in Chicago, part of a landmark renovation, and The V Suite for The Hotel at Midtown are intended to take the guest on a journey from active and strenuous to a state of respite.
The view as you enter Midtown Athletic Club Hotel is of the tennis lounge, so it is an important part of the project as a whole and we wanted to make it also stand out. A custom-designed wall featuring thousands of tennis balls acts as the dramatic backdrop to the lounge and is complimented by artwork created by Serena Williams. Further, into the space, a custom translucent graphic on a laminated glass of her namesake herself, Venus Williams, separates the court viewing area from the entry of the hotel.
