Town Trelago, a multi-family complex in Maitland, FL, was given the feeling of a luxury “village” by interior design firm, V Starr. The firm has worked with major clients in both the hospitality and residential spheres, giving them a keen understanding of the importance of creating private and communal spaces that connect with locale. Featuring studio, one, two, and three-bedroom homes, the residential complex also has a spacious common area and courtyard, outdoor infinity edge-pool with Jacuzzi and cabanas, clubhouse with private screening room and game room, and 24-hour fitness center featuring a yoga and spin room.
“Town Trelago is situated on Lake Hope in an area that used to be an orange grove, so we wanted to bring a fresh, young approach to a historic lake house concept,” says Sonya Haffey, Principal of V Starr.
Situated on Lake Hope, which was historically an orange grove, Town Trelago is refreshing take on a classic lake house aesthetic. Decorative orange crates are used as a nod to the neighborhood’s history, with other details including a stone fireplace, a custom hanging bench in the entryway, rocking chairs, and curated art from Kalisher, Indie Walls & the Related Group’s private collection. The team also incorporated materials such as rustic wood furniture from RH Contract, wood floors from DuChateau Floor, and a French door sliding panel system for a warm yet modern feel. The complex, now open to the public, is Green Globes certified, with construction efficiency and sustainability in mind.
